    Wow, you made this much more understandable - you should be a teacher! One thing I want to query thought - is it better to adjust aperture or shutter speed to light a scene? I heard from someone people that leaving the aperture at something in the middle like F2.8 and adjusting the shutter speed why leaving the ISO at around 100 is best?

    You don't mention the actual price of these lenses anywhere in the video

  • @KarolisValickas
    @KarolisValickas 2 місяці тому

    It is very misleading not to mention that lenses are APS-C. Also, because You compare it to a Full Frame lense - it exagerates the misleading part. Also, because they are APS-C, they are effectivelly a F1.8 lense for night shots (as FF nornalised). This doesn't feel as a review, but as a commercial. I subscribed to You after the video, checked the details afterwards and now... i am going to be very cautious and keep You in the bracket of "lies cannot be trusted" in order to find who else lies but are not as obviously misleading as You are. your energy is amasing, video, music, everything is so nice, but why did You need to destroy Your reputation so bad??? Very sad, that a creator with so much potential wastes it so reclesly... 😢😢😢 Sad for You, You seemed awesome, until You didn't 😢

      how does it being aps-c make the aperture 1.8?

    • @KarolisValickas
      @KarolisValickas 2 місяці тому

      @@yesimthatdpaidan You know how 33 mm makes it actualy 50? Because of angle pf view. These numbers are for FF not for APS-C and so if You want to compare light transmition (T-stops) and bokeh (F-stops) between different cameras' ans lenses You need to square "crop factor", for example to get field of view you multiple by "crop factor", and to get ISO value - how light/dark the image will be You need to square the "crop factor" and multiply ISO or F-number. And for APS-C 1,5 crop factor squared is 2,25 which means You would move more than 1 stop up, so "F1.2" moves to around "F1.8". This is needed to compare different lenses/cameras if we want to match them or to know how will they loook.

    • @yesimthatdpaidan

      @@KarolisValickas oh gotcha, I didnt know that about crop affecting aperture.

    • @KarolisValickas
      @KarolisValickas 2 місяці тому

      @@yesimthatdpaidan, yeah it's quite fun and nifty trick :-) easiest to do with zoom lenses, like 70-200 F2.8 if You set same lens on FF camera at 150mm and F4. And APS-C at 100mm and F2.8 and both will have same depth of field and framing. This will be easiest example to check the physics theory in photography practice.

    • @nobsiva
      @nobsiva 2 місяці тому

      Not true. An f/1.2 lens on an APS-C sensor still gathers the same amount of light because f/1.2 is a physical property of the aperture relative to the focal length. However, due to the smaller sensor, the crop factor affects the field of view and depth of field. The depth of field appears equivalent to about f/1.8 on full-frame, but the light-gathering capability (and exposure) remains unchanged.

  • @I0nut09
    @I0nut09 2 місяці тому

    They are for crop bodies, they are useless. Lenses made for toy cameras, crop. If you want to get among the big players, make lenses for full frame sensors. Crops are used by amateurs, or others who don't have money to invest and try to make do with what they have. Without any arrogance, it's just a true fact. The 23mm wide lens, which is actually a 35.5 wow. Shit lens

      @I0nut09 2 місяці тому

      @@vast48 Friend, you are in the dark of your mind. You amazed me with your answer and I searched a little. You are mistaken. Probably those with a budget of 1000 dollars are filmed with CROP, probably if you struggle you can do something good with an Iphone 16. I guarantee you that for cinema video productions there are Full Frame cameras, which they use. I say save up the money to get a Full Frame, and stop fooling yourself that those in Hollywood use CROP.

      It is not F1.2 in a sense He is portraying it. Because these lenses are APS-C, they are more like F1.8 - F2. So compare them accordingly. F1.8 is still good for night shots with some lighting, but don't get fooled, these are not F1.2 bright. It's just a physics hoax some manufacturers use without disclosing. Bright APS-C lenses have an opening of F0.8 which is closer to F1.2 on default evaluating system (FF).

      He made me want them too!! That is why it is so heartbreaking that he what seems - knowingly chose not to disclose that these lenses are APS-C and to further confusion even compared to helios 44 which is a FF lense, and therefore light performance is different and field of view is also very different..

    Well presented. I’ve never seen a triangle used to represent the relationship between the settings. The other device we can use is a neutral density filter, either all or nothing, or a variable one. Some cameras (like my old Canon G15) have one built in, or they can be bought separately and mounted on top of a lens, and can be rotated to adjust the density for the task in hand. These can allow a reasonable mix of the 3 factors in strong light, e.g. So if I’m shooting at twice the frame rate, and a sensible aperture, I often use a neutral density filter.
